7-year-old Anabelle (living in the Philippines) has been suffering from the very rare Crouzon Syndrome since childhood, causing the most visible complications affecting the skull, causing facial deformities. Therefore, Anabelle has very different and somewhat scary eyes, making people who meet her for the first time feel uncomfortable.
Baby Anabelle
Because the family was poor and had many children, her mother sold her to a drug trafficking gang. Therefore, I live mainly on the street. To increase sympathy, gang members often beat her, thereby using the sympathy of passersby to make more money.
Baby Anabelle and Gonzalo Erize
Her life here and there on the streets would probably still be prolonged, if the Kalipay Negrense Foundation – a Philippine child rescue organization did not find and rescue her from those exploiters.
Volunteer Gonzalo Erize from Argentina is a kind person. He himself used his savings so that Anabelle could have surgery and have a better life.
Now, Anabelle is safe, but every night, she still wakes up screaming because of her childhood obsessions. However, Mr. Erize assured that he and the Kalipay Negrense Foundation will do their best to help Anabelle have a better life.
