The pet's grieving owner laughed at her beloved dog after she found him trapped in her dog's den five days after he disappeared.
Sarah Mclella, 33, was left devastated after her beloved dog Ralph disappeared while walking near her church home in Haworth, West Yorkshire, last week.
Mclellaп and her husband will spend the weekend searching for the red-haired dachshund. Recruit volunteers; made posts for “Perro Perdido” Facebook groups;
and he even had his wife create a website for Ralph, all of it empty.
“On Friday the weather was terrible, it was very cold and we couldn't find it anywhere,” Mclellaп said. “As you can imagine,
this motherfucker goes crazy really hard on me: 'What happened? Has he drowned? Has something bad happened?
“My son asked them where Ralphy was. The main door was open and yelling at him; “It was heartbreaking,” he added.
“We just had to tell him that dad was looking for him.”
Miraculously, the terrified dog was finally sniffed out by her sister Edie while she was walking with Mclella's husband on Monday.
Ralph was trapped five feet underground in a labyrinth of lame people located just half a mile from his house.
After two hours of careful digging, the puppy was finally rescued.
“The burrows of the lame are like labyrinths and he must have gone through the hole and gotten stuck;
He had made a hole in the middle but he couldn't get out of it,” Mclella said. “Handsomely he came out of the hole,
headed towards the direction and then continued as if nothing had happened.
“When I got home I opened the door and there he was in the kitchen,” he added. "I could not believe it".
Despite losing weight while trapped in the hole, Ralph suffered no serious injuries.
“Ralph is completely destroyed and his nails are worn out from where he was trying to get out, but otherwise he is fine,” Mclellaп said.
“He has lost weight and is more married; "He just needs time to recover."
The relieved owner hopes that his happy ending will give others hope that he will also find their pets.
“It was all drama and I was still in shock when I saw it; Last night I was up until 1 in the morning just hugging him.
“He likes to chase lame people and he does it a lot, but this time he took it too far. I hope I have learned my lesson this time.”
