Throughout her pregnancy, Tiyo Satrio’s mother was unaware of her son’s condition. Even when Tiyo was born, his mother did not know that her newborn child had an abnormal body.
Explaining this issue, Tiyo’s mother said: “Tiyo was born in the middle of the night. At that time, the midwife told me that the baby was completely normal and very healthy. However, the next afternoon, I was surprised to learn that my son had no arms or legs.”

Although she was shocked to learn that Tiyo’s body was not as perfect as other children, his mother quickly adjusted her mood and accepted this painful truth. At first Tiyo was timid and lacking confidence, but later he became much more optimistic and cheerful.

Because of the lack of limbs, Tiyo’s movement and all activities are very difficult, so her parents have to take care of all daily activities and take her to school. In addition to Tiyo, the boy’s parents also have four more adult children who do not live close to home, so all care for Tiyo is taken care of by his parents. Because helping Tiyo in daily life takes up all of his time, his parents cannot go to work.
Currently, the boy still goes to school normally. I write by holding the pen in my mouth and shaping each stroke. Tiyo’s teacher commented that the boy was very smart and hardworking. Tiyo is especially good at math and likes to learn and study religion.

In her free time, Tiyo likes to play Playstation. I will use my chin to control the game fluently. In competitions with friends, Tiyo also won many times.
